While I may be no beauty expert, I do tend to understand beauty trends and products that would work incredibly well with my skin tone, skin type and personality. Keeping this in mind, I only go back to particular beauty and skincare products. Personally, I prefer not to apply much of makeup and you are most likely to see my without it 80 per cent of the week.

On a daily basis, after utilising a face cleanser, I apply an acne gel, moisturiser and a sunblock on the face. I do this twice a day. Having followed this routine for over two years, I can confidently say that a consistent basic skincare regime works much better than constantly switching your products.

Not being the biggest makeup fan, I do my research and test products to find the ones that are best suited for Indian skin types. You can trust me on this!

I am quite partial to a dewy look on the odd day that I would be applying makeup. I try to use minimal make up and have been utilising these products summer after summer. The only concealer I have been comfortable using is the Kiko Full Coverage Concealer. I use this in all the ways possible, from covering my under eyes to marks and acne on the face. My go-to foundation would be the Chanel Les Beiges. It’s so light on application compared to the other products in this range and doesn’t make the face feel cakey despite giving a medium coverage. Dior beauty products are a favourite in my family for their wonderful and lip products. I have been using the DiorShow Brow Styler in dark brown and the Rouge Dior lipstick in Rendez-Vous (683) since over two years.

After using drugstore classic Maybelline mascaras, I switched to my new favourite DiorShow Waterproof mascara which is a nice dark black and lengthens your eyelashes. Opt for world famous Kat Von D Tattoo Liner for easy application and longwear. Elizabeth Arden’s 8 Hour Lip Protectant Stick, surprisingly, is the only lip balm that has worked incredibly with my dry summer lips and chapped winter lips. It is perfect to apply 20 mins before applying lipstick over. Probably the only beauty product you will always find in my handbag. The Givenchy Teint Couture Shimmer Powder in gold does wonders in adding a soft shine to that dewy finish.

I recently discovered Laura Mercier’s Secret Brightening Powder for under eyes. While the instructions suggest to utilise it for setting your concealer, I finish my under eye make up with this. However, despite having fairly visible dark circles, I avoid using this mainly because I prefer not having too many products on my face. My absolute summer favourite for body care would be the Sol de Janeiro range. From shower gels to body moisturisers, the brand has got everything. I use the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream which contains the popular Guaraná extract for firming purposes primarily but have also noticed that it helps with stretch marks. It’s an absolute winner for gaining that extra confidence while flaunting your bikini bod.
