Now that it is summer, it is time for all the strappy dresses and white outfits to make it out of the wardrobe. But why avoid denim just because the sun is shining. With denim trends changing every season, stay up to date and style it differently for the summer heat. From crop-flared jeans to wide leg jeans, they make for the perfect day to night outfits. Play with textures or styles to uplift your look every single time and ditch the summer shorts.
Keep it chic and classy by pairing either a satin blouse or a self-patterned white blouse like I did. Having previously mentioned that my style is primarily very luxe, but with a very laidback sense to it, I personally opt for a mix of high-street and luxury brands in my every day outfits in order to create a very holistic look. I absolutely despise ill-fitted and wrinkled outfits as it defeats the purpose of having a luxe look.
I have paired an After Market (bought from Asos) ruffled one shoulder blouse having a tie waist detail with wide leg Miss Selfridge jeans. Clear PVC heels are my summer favourites and they look ultra chic with the denim. Keeping the colours in the neutral palette adds to luxe vibe of the outfit. Using a ribboned hair tie from Accessorize adds a simple detail to the outfit. The Saint Laurent cabas bag in grey does not take away from the outfit. The oversized round framed Gucci sunglasses adds a level of drama to the outfit without compromising on the relaxed feel of the outfit.
Note: Jeans were bought from the sustainable Miss S Eco collection from Miss Selfridge, having a lower impact on the environment.
CHEAT TIP: Tuck in your satin slip dress into your jeans for the ultimate day to night look
Bow hair ties make the perfect understated accessory to any outfit, still making it look opulent and effortless
